About the Role:
The role will be responsible for supporting the implementation of the company’s sustainability initiatives, assist with data collection and analysis, and collaborate with various departments to promote environmental and social responsibility.
The position will be Permanent Full-Time role based in our office in Mulgrave, VIC.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and Monitor Sustainability Strategy – Support the rollout and tracking of KB’s environmental and social sustainability initiatives.
- Data Management and Reporting – Collect, analyse, and maintain sustainability data (environmental, sourcing, energy, waste) and prepare internal/external reports.
- Compliance and Certification – Ensure adherence to environmental regulations, sustainability standards (MSC, ASC), and ethical sourcing requirements.
- Modern Slavery and Ethical Practices – Monitor supplier compliance, maintain documentation for the Modern Slavery Statement, and support related audits and assessments.
- Sustainable Packaging and APCO Reporting – Track packaging data, assist in APCO Action Plans and reports, and identify packaging waste reduction opportunities.
- Communication and Engagement – Coordinate sustainability communications with suppliers and teams and promote awareness through campaigns and events.
- Training and Continuous Improvement – Develop training materials, stay updated on industry trends, and support continuous improvement in sustainability practices.
Experience and Skills:
- Demonstrated interest in Sustainability, Environmental Management or responsible sourcing and eagerness to learn about sustainability standards in Seafood industry.
- Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability or related field
- Full, Unrestricted Australian working rights
- Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Data Analysis and Project Management Tools.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and influencing skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- High attention to detail and strong collaboration skills.
